Job Description

Salary: $85,000 - 125,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field; masters degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience in systems engineering, with 5+ years applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in complex aerospace projects
• Proven track record in ground systems, human spaceflight, or crewed spacecraft programs (NASA or commercial)
• Expert knowledge of SysML and MBSE tools (Cameo/MagicDraw preferred)
• Strong grasp of systems engineering processes (NASA NPR 7123.1, MIL-STD-499C, INCOSE SE Handbook)
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and produce high-quality documentation
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification is a plus
• Familiarity with requirements management tools like DOORS or JAMA
• Experience with NASA human-rating standards and digital engineering frameworks

• Lead the creation and analysis of system architecture utilizing MBSE methodologies and tools
• Define, manage, and validate requirements, interfaces, and verification methods for human spaceflight systems
• Develop and maintain SysML models to support design, trade studies, and mission assurance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with NASA and industry standards
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and customer presentations
• Mentor junior systems engineers in MBSE practices and systems engineering standards
• Support risk management, configuration management, and requirements traceability during the project lifecycle
• Coordinate system-level design integration with NASA, commercial partners, and subcontractors
