Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Atwater, California. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise in payroll management and reconciliation. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance with union reporting requirements. Responsibilities: - Process biweekly payroll for a team of 19 employees with precision and attention to detail. - Perform payroll reconciliation between internal systems to maintain accuracy and consistency. - Prepare certified payroll reports as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. - Manage union reporting, including preparation and timely submission of payments. - Handle 401K processing and reconciliation between internal systems and Paychex. - Prepare conditional and unconditional waivers and releases for vendors and the organization. - Set up employee deductions, including medical benefits, 401K contributions, tool programs, and final paychecks. - Complete commission sheets and accurately input data into Microsoft Excel. - Monitor and track employee vacation requests and absences to maintain accurate records. Requirements - Minimum of three years of experience in payroll processing and related functions. - Strong knowledge of union payroll processes and reporting requirements. - Proficiency in managing benefit functions, including deductions and reconciliations. - Experience in handling certified payroll reporting and compliance. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data entry and reconciliation tasks. - Familiarity with Successware and Paychex systems is highly preferred. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines. - Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members and vendors.
