Role Summary/Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate new mortgage loan applications through various channels, including referrals, networking, and self-generated leads.

  • Consult with prospective borrowers to understand their financial goals and guide them in selecting the most suitable loan products.

  • Analyze applicants' financial information, credit history, and income to determine loan eligibility and present viable options.

  • Manage a pipeline of loan applications, ensuring timely and efficient processing from submission to closing.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, regulations, and market trends to provide accurate and compliant advice.

Required Qualifications

  • Active NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) license with good standing

  • Minimum of 18 months of recent, successful experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, demonstrating quantifiable loan production results.

  • Strong understanding of various mortgage products (e.g., Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA) and relevant lending regulations.

  • Proven ability to build and nurture client and referral relationships, coupled with a friendly, professional demeanor.

  • Highly self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive for continuous achievement.

  • Proficiency with loan origination software (LOS) and CRM systems.
