Salary: $15.75- $16.75

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Floral lead clerk must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining floral products, as well as demonstrate competency in, inventory control, ordering and receiving product. Strong organizational skills, as well as prioritizing multiple tasks are required. Clerk is responsible for setting an example in providing attentive and courteous customer service

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Floral operations, safety, and sanitation
• Assist in the achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
• Fulfill weekly orders in accordance with store policy to ensure adequate supply levels
• Prepare customer orders (floral arrangements, plants, balloons, etc)
• Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product
• Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Floral Department
• Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, and cases and are in working condition 
• Training and development of Floral associates
• Take direction from the floral shop manager and act in his or her place when absent (where applicable)
• Direct subordinates in implementing plan of action and goal attainment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Possess strong communication skills
